Power Couple is a goal-tracking app for two people. This policy explains what the app stores, where it goes, and what you can do about it. It describes the app as it actually works — if something here stops being true, this page changes with it.

We collect the goals you set, the progress you log, the nudges you send, and the name you sign up with. It is stored on our behalf by Supabase so that you and your partner can see the same thing on two phones. We do not use analytics, we do not track you, we do not advertise, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone for their own purposes.
One optional feature sends some of your goal titles to an AI service to write suggestions. It is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off again at any time.
Your account. You sign in with Apple. We receive your name and email address from Apple — if you use Apple's “Hide My Email”, we only ever see the relay address, not your real one. We store your name and a chosen avatar colour so your partner knows who is who. Your email lives in our authentication system and is used to identify your account; we do not email you.
Your couple. The name you give your relationship, the start date if you set one, your timezone, and a temporary pairing code used to connect the two of you. The pairing code expires after seven days.
Your goals and progress. Goal titles, categories, targets, timeframes and any notes you add; each log entry with its count, date and note. This is the content of the app — without it there is nothing to show you.
Nudges. Messages you send your partner, including any quote attached and the goal it refers to.
Push notifications. If you allow them, a device token so we can send you a notification when your partner logs progress or nudges you. You can turn push off in Profile, and we delete tokens that Apple tells us are no longer valid.
Diagnostic records of notifications. Whether a push was accepted or rejected, and the first few characters of the token involved. We use this to tell a broken notification pipeline from a quiet one.
Your profile photo never leaves your device. It is stored in the app's local database only. It is not uploaded, not backed up by us, and your partner does not receive it.
If you turn on AI goal ideas, then when the app asks for suggestions it sends the following to Anthropic, which runs the model that writes them:
Your partner's individual goal titles are never sent. Neither is your name, your email, your notes, your log entries, your nudges, or anything identifying you. Anthropic receives the text above and returns suggestions; it does not receive an account identifier.
This feature is off by default. Nothing is sent until you answer the question on the Goals tab, and answering “Not now” means nothing is ever sent. You can change your mind in either direction at any time in Profile → AI goal ideas. Turning it off stops it immediately — any request already in flight is cancelled and the AI-written suggestions are cleared from the screen. With the feature off, the app still shows hand-written starter ideas, which involve no AI and send nothing.
We keep a record of each AI request: when it happened, how much text was sent and returned (as a count, not the text itself), and whether the model finished its answer. We use it to rate-limit the feature and to understand what it costs us to run. We do not store what you asked for or what came back — no goal titles, no suggestions, no prompt or reply content. Deleting your account deletes these records with it.
Supabase hosts our database, authentication and realtime sync, on servers in the United States. They store the data described above on our behalf.
Apple provides sign-in and delivers push notifications.
Anthropic provides the AI model, and only receives what is described in the section above, and only if you have opted in.
That is the complete list. There is no analytics service, no advertising network, no crash reporter, and no third-party tracking of any kind in this app. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Pairing is the point of the app, so be aware of what it means. Your partner can see your name and avatar, your goal titles and categories, your progress logs and notes, your streaks and points, and the nudges you send them. They cannot edit or delete your individual goals, and they never receive your profile photo.
If you leave a couple, your individual goals and their history stay with you. Shared goals belong to the couple and are removed with it.
Profile → Delete account removes your account permanently, from inside the app, with no email required. It deletes your profile, your individual goals and their logs, your nudges, your notification tokens and your usage counts. If you are in a couple, the couple is dissolved and shared goals go with it — your partner keeps their own individual goals and their history.
This cannot be undone.
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account it is removed as described above. Notification diagnostic records are kept briefly for troubleshooting and are not linked to anything after your account is gone.
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access to your data is restricted at the database level so that only you and, where the app intends it, your partner can read it.
Power Couple is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to withdraw consent. Account deletion is built into the app; for anything else, write to [email protected] and we will respond.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes, and material changes will be pointed out in the app.
